Guided Jeep Tours

jeeptourDuration: 4 Hours

Description: Experience Juneau’s most scenic and historic locales on this adventure!

We begin on downtown’s narrow streets past the State Capitol, Russian Orthodox
Church, and Governor’s mansion, then to Juneau's most magnificent attraction, the Mendenhall Glacier. Enjoy panoramic views; walk one of the short nature trails; or explore the Visitor's Center, with interactive displays and U.S. Forest Service interpreters who offer insight into this breathtaking natural phenomenon. From here, we continue North through the once thriving Auke Indian village site to the St. Therese where we explore the historic stone chapel and serene waterfront grounds.  From here we continue “out the road” to enjoy a scenic and secluded piece of Alaska history at the Ernest Gruening State Historical Site. Take in the spectacular Chilkat mountain range across the Lynn Canal while enjoying a light Alaskan snack and beach walk near the former Territorial Governor’s rustic cabin. On our return to town, stop in at either the award-winning Alaskan Brewery or the Macaulay Fish Hatchery for a tour and taste of Juneau you’ll truly enjoy.
